FAQ

What is a Contributing Developer?

1min

A 'contributing developer' is an individual who has contributed to software being scanned by SOOS in the last 90 days. SOOS does not count contributions to public open source repositories.

If you have a paid subscription, the number of seats selected when you purchase should reflect the number of contributing developers on your team and should account for growth in the near future. The maximum number of contributing developers contributing to code which is being scanned by SOOS should not exceed the number of purchased seats.

If you need to add more seats, it's easy, you can find more info Subscribing to SOOS Products

A contributing developer is not necessarily the same as a user invited to the SOOS app. Many teams may have more developers contributing to the codebase than are accessing the app. More information on app users can be found under Adding Users
