Legal Dashboard

The Legal Dashboard provides a global view that Legal teams can use to quickly assess the license usage within your projects to determine if any unacceptable licenses are being used.

Additionally, SOOS recommends configuring License Governance Policies to ensure that these licenses never make it into your projects.

The License Usage graphic provides a visual representation of the distribution of licenses across all projects, ordered alphabetically. Hovering over each segment will produce a pop-up displaying the number of projects using that license.

A list is provided of each individual license name (SPDX ID) represented in the diagram, including a "first seen" and "last detected" time range.

Search for a license name (SPDX ID) of interest to filter the list to projects using that specific license. Expand the list to view all projects using that license. Click the project link to view the Licenses tab on the project detail page for the given project.
